Fake ride share drivers allegedly raped passenger inside Wolli Creek home

Police have released images of two men they wish to speak to who may be able to assist with their investigation over an alleged sexual assault of a woman at her Wolli Creek home.

Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify two men as part of an investigation into an alleged sexual assault that occurred earlier this year in Sydney’s south.

Police have released images of two men who maybe able to assist with the investigation and are appealing for those who might know them to come forward.

Police allege two men posing as ride share drivers drove a 27-year-old woman from Bondi Junction to Wolli Creek about 2am on April 1.

Police allege the men took the woman inside a unit in an apartment complex where she was allegedly sexual assaulted and later released.

The incident was reported to officers at St George Police Area Command.

Detectives have established Strike Force Wannamurra to investigate the circumstances of the incident.

The first man police believe could assist with their inquiries is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his 30s, about 160cm tall with a medium build.

He has black hair and a black beard and was last seen wearing a blue jumper with a white and red logo on the rear of the collar.

The second man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his 30s, about 160cm tall with a medium build.

He has black hair worn in a bun and a beard. The man was wearing a white hooded jumper with a ‘Nike’ logo on the back and jeans.

An image of the silver Kia Sportage has also been released.

Anyone who may have information that can assist police is urged to contact St George Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
