Police have allegedly discovered disturbing and graphic images of bestiality and child abuse material on several devices inside an Engadine man’s home.

Savoeun Vann Pech, 38, was arrested on Thursday and did not apply for bail when he appeared in Sutherland Local Court on Friday for 24 charges.

Police officers searched Pech’s home and allegedly seized his devices.

He faces two charges of possessing child abuse material outside of Australia where police allege they found images of young male and female children engaged in sexual intercourse, which allegedly occurred or originated in an Asian country, downloaded to a mobile phone in May last year.

Police further allege Pech attempted bestiality with a poodle on August 8 last year and he was also charged with four counts of possessing bestiality material that included pigs, dogs or fish downloaded on his phone and laptop in March this year.

On a USB storage device, Pech also allegedly had bestiality material of acts of torture towards cats or birds, court documents said.

Pech allegedly filmed the private parts of a child, aged under 16, without consent in Sutherland last year.

He was further charged with two counts of possessing prescription drugs, and having a housebreaking implement, namely a lock picking tool, without a lawful excuse.

Officers also allegedly found identity documents of four people they believe Pech had for the intention to use to dishonestly obtain a financial advantage, court documents said.

Police allege Pech stole the documents and kept them at his home and he therefore faces four charges of unlawfully obtaining goods.

The case was mentioned briefly before it was adjourned to May 4 at Sydney Downing Centre.
