Ali Mustapha in court charged with DV assault and resisting arrest in Hurstville
A Hurstville man allegedly drove in a predatory manner before he smashed a woman’s car window, injuring her only to later resist arrest.

A Hurstville man has been named in court after he allegedly smashed a woman’s car, injured her and later assaulted an officer while trying to escape from police.
Ali Mustapha, 19, was charged with multiple domestic violence offences following his arrest on Saturday.
His case was briefly mentioned in Sutherland Local Court on Monday where he did not apply for bail.
Mustapha is expected to appear in court again on Tuesday.
Police allege Mustapha and a 22-year-old woman began arguing while driving through Penshurst about 9pm on Saturday.
The woman left the car; however, police allege Mustapha used his ute to stop her from driving away in her own car.
Mustapha allegedly began smashing the car windows, during which he injured his hand and the woman.
He allegedly fled the scene before police arrived.
Officers later went to a home at Hurstville and arrested Mustapha after a short struggle.
Police will allege Mustapha resisted arrest and assaulted a police officer.
They also allege he tried to escape custody when allegedly he ran into a person’s property.
Mustapha was taken to St George Hospital for treatment for his hand injury.
A police officer was also taken to the same hospital to be checked as a precaution after hitting his head upon falling backwards onto concrete during the arrest.
Mustapha was released from hospital about 1pm on Sunday before he was taken to Kogarah Police Station and charged with eight offences including intimidation, predatory driving, damage property, assault occasioning actual bodily harm related to the woman.
He was also charged with hinder of resist police officer, assault police officer in execution of duty causing actual bodily harm, escape police custody and enter enclosed land.
The officer was released from hospital after observation and returned to full duties.
