A drug-addicted accountant will undergo eight weeks of intensive psychological treatment before he is expected to go to jail for supplying more than half a million dollars worth of the drug ‘ice’ and cocaine.

Siang Hoe Lim, who is also known as Alex Lim, was an accountant and director of a company GSD, which has an office located on Castlereagh St, Sydney.

Lim admitted to his role in the large-scale drug supply when he appeared in Downing Centre Local Court last week.

Lim’s co-offender Qi Che – who is known as Albert and lives in Belfield man – is listed as an accounting firm director and previously pleaded guilty to serious drug offences.

Agreed facts tendered to court said police established Strike Force Bliss in June 2022 to investigate Lim’s drug supply activities.

Lim started talking with a witness in August via the phone messaging app Threema and five days later they made an agreement to meet at an industrial unit at Peakhurst, the agreed facts state.

Lim handed the witness a freezer bag, totalling 27.9g of meth in exchange for $6000.

The witness asked for three ounces on August 15 with Lim indicating he could sell the drugs for $5900 each.

Court documents say they met at the Village Square underground car park at Wolli Creek on August 18 where Lim handed the witness a cardboard box containing three plastic bags of meth in exchange for $17,000.

Lim and the witness met on August 22 and September 9 at the same car park and Lim sold five ounces, or 275g, both times for $28,5000 each.

The drugs were inside three heat-sealed bags in a cereal box and on the second occasion five plastic bags were inside an egg carton.

The documents state Lim made his largest sale of meth to the witness on September 13 when he sold 10 ounces, inside two egg cartons, in exchange for $57,000.

Another two lots of five ounces was sold for $28,500 each on September 27 and October 13 with the first amount inside an envelope wrapped in sticky tape and the other amount in a brown paper bag.

The facts said police seized and analysed the drugs on each occasion and discovered Chen’s DNA on several of the plastic bag knots containing the meth.

The witness and Lim discussed supplying cocaine and they agreed on 20 ounces at $16,000 per ounce.

Lim told the witness the money should be in $10,000 bundles laid flat in order to speed up the counting process.

Lim and Chen arrived at the same Wolli Creek shopping centre car park on October 19.

The men got into the witness’ car and Lim handed the witness a heat-sealed package of white powder, which was five ounces of cocaine, according to the agreed facts.

A bag containing $320,000 was handed to Chen who counted the money upon Lim’s direction.

Lim then directed Chen to retrieve the remaining 15 ounces which was given to the witness.

Police swooped and arrested Lim, Chen and the witness, with the seized cocaine, totalling 556g.

Police also located multiple phones, a cardboard box containing 26g of meth and a small bag of 0.14g of meth inside Lim’s car.

Lim’s Turrella home was searched where 362g of cocaine was found, along with MDMA, meth, testosterone and other steroids.

More drugs including cannabis leaf, meth, cocaine, MDMA and tablets to treat erectile dysfunction were found at his office.

In court, Lim pleaded guilty to 30 charges including supplying a large commercial quantity of drugs, supplying a commercial quantity of drugs. possessing prohibited drugs and knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime.

Chen has pleaded guilty to taking part in the supply of a large commercial quantity of prohibited drug; supplying a commercial quantity of prohibited drugs; supplying an indictable quantity of drugs and recklessly dealing with proceeds of crime.

In court, a Crown prosecutor applied to have Lim remanded in custody to await sentence.

Magistrate Margaret Atkinson allowed Lim to remain on bail noting he was scheduled to complete an intensive eight-week program addressing his mental health.

She also noted Lim’s family, who were in court, had offered a substantial surety in the form of his parents’ house.

The court heard Lim had completed a drug rehabilitation program, had no previous criminal history and had complied with his bail conditions.

Lim’s case was adjourned to September 8 at Sydney Downing Centre, with Lim and Chen expected to be sentenced on November 17.
