She’s been playing there since she was nine, knows pretty much every blade of grass and considers it her home ground.
So if there is a dream ground for Remy Siemsen to achieve her goal of a trifecta in a single game it is Cromer Oval.
“I can’t wait to have my family and friends there. It’s going to be a big game,” said French’s Forest based Siemsen ahead of the crucial Sydney FC v Wanderers Sydney derby on February 15.

“I have played at Cromer maybe a thousand times from the age of 10 up.
“I’d love to get a hat trick here. It would be lovely.
“But to be honest if my teammates score, or I even get an assist to help them, that’s what matters most. Getting the team win.”
The W-League leading goal scorer for the 2019/20 season is just short of her pre-season target of 10 goals before the finals.

Her next outing with Sydney FC is at Cromer against the club she left in the off-season, the Western Sydney Wanderers.
The match will break the deadlock between the two Sydney clubs in the W-League with the pair on equal points but the Wanderers sitting in second place and ahead on goal percentage.
“It will be a grudge match,” Siemsen said.
“It’s a local derby and that’s alway a big match. Whoever wants it more on the day usually gets the points.”

The Wanderers hold the advantage over Sydney FC after smashing the Sky Blues 5-0 in their first encounter of the season back in round six.
Siemsen said the side has put this shock result behind them and will be a different team in round 12 at Cromer. “We have move past the first result. We just know we have to step it up a level,” she said.
“We just need to win every game heading into the final.”
