MAJOR MOVES
Former Australian and NSW spinner Steve O’Keefe has left Manly to return to his junior club Hawkesbury.
After putting pen to paper to come back to the Sydney Sixers for another year, the SEN personality will finetune those preparations at club level.
NSW all-rounder Arjun Nair has departed Fairfield Liverpool to pursue his career in Victoria, where he will join Footscray.
Local junior Nick Carruthers returns to Fairfield Liverpool from Bankstown. The top order bat has been in fine form over the past few seasons in a big coup for Fairfield Liverpool.
The news isn’t all bad for Bankstown, with Ayden Brown joining the club from Wollongong.
22-year-old all-rounder Henry Railz joins Campbelltown Camden Ghosts from Penrith. The former NSW Country U19s representative adds an element of class to the Macarthur side.
Last year’s grand finalists Sydney University have been the big movers in the market. After failing to conquer Parramatta in the decider, the club has wasted little time bolstering its stocks.
Opening bat Jack Attenborough arrives from UNSW. On the cusp of Sheffield Shield selection last summer, the 21-year-old right-hander is once again expected to challenge for higher honours.
All-rounder William Salzmann has departed Campbelltown Camden, and the former u19 World Cup star joins Sydney Uni alongside fellow NSW Blues rookie Hunar Verma. A tall right-arm quick, Verma’s departure leaves a gaping hole in Penrith’s attack.
Jack Nisbet is another rookie Blue on the move. The right-arm opening paceman heads over the bridge to Mosman, while former Sydney Cricket Club teammate Nic Bills will extend his decade-long career at UTS North Sydney.
