BATTING STARS
With his grand final century, St George opener Blake Nikitaras not only secured his side the title but he charged to the top of the runs leaderboard with 382 at a phenomenal average of 95.5.
Dylan Hunter showed the bowlers no mercy in a blistering campaign. Of the 11 players to crack 200-plus runs, the Sydney Uni opener was the only one to boast a strike rate of more than 200.
While four players scored centuries over the course of the competition, Fairfield-Liverpool’s Yuvraj Sharma posed the biggest threat to fans, launching a season high 20 beyond the pickets.
BOWLING STATS
New ball specialist Brad Simpson consistently performs for Bankstown and the right-arm quick delivered again, taking a comp best 16 wickets at 14.4.
Ryan Meppem bowled UNSW to victory over Sydney Uni. His four over spell of 5/30 not only turned the contest, it was the only five-wicket haul of the series.
Speaking of turning the screws, none did it better than Parramatta’s Param Uppal. Of the 23 bowlers with eight wickets or more, his was easily the tightest at a miserly 4.65 runs per over.
