Last week we found some of the most excited youngsters we’re ever seen - make that heard - at a footy game.
Now we have found some of the cutest at the Sydney Juniors Inter-District Minis Gala Day.
The event was a roaring success for Minis players in the under 6 to under 9 age groups with an extraordinary 65 clubs from seven local district competitions involved.
Sydney Junior Rugby Union chair Anthony Hunt said the day is a celebration of community rugby.
“It’s to give them an idea they are part of a bigger rugby family,’’ Hunt said.
“There were 4000 kids so it was massive but worth it.’’
The games and activities were hosted by an assortment of clubs and played at ovals across Sydney - The Ridge Sporting Complex, Menai, Concorde at St Lukes Oval, Hunters Hill at Boronia Park at Hunters Hills, Western Raptors at Mittigar Reserve, Narrabeen at North Narrabeen Reserve, Norwest at Alwyn Lindfield Park, Manly Roo at Keirle Park and St Ives, Hassel Park.
The day at Woolahra Oval was cancelled due to the current Covid situation in the eastern suburbs.
