THE daughter of former NSW Blues cricket player John Nash, Blacktown’s Jessika Nash was always destined to find success with the willow.
But the talented 10-year- old has not just limited herself to the cricket pitch. She has found success in nearly every one of her athletic endeavours.
The Blacktown South Public School student has represented her school and club in soccer, cricket, netball, touch football, cross country, athletics, swimming and dance.
Jessika is a member of the Blacktown Spartans Football Club SAP elite program, the junior Blacktown representative development netball squad and is in the Blacktown under-17 girls T20 cricket side.
Like her idol, dual sport sensation Ellyse Perry, it’s football and cricket where Jessika has shown the most promise.
This weekend Jessika will kit up for the Inner West Magic at the NSW Futsal Championships to be held at Glenwood while only days later, a trip to Dubbo is on the schedule for an outing with the Sydney West girls cricket team.
Jessika said she would not know what to pick if she had to choose one sport in which to specialise.
“I love cricket and soccer just as much as each other,” she said.
