NIDA has been named one of the top 10 drama schools in the world by The Hollywood Reporter.

Now is your chance to take a look behind the shiny exterior of the Kensington school which has produced Mel Gibson, Cate Blanchett and Toni Collette among others.

The National Institute of Dramatics Arts in Kensington is hosting an open day on Saturday with talks, workshops, demonstrations and screenings.

Alumni, including actor Remy Hii, who recently starred alongside Ioan Gruffodd in ABC’s Harrow, will talk about his experiences.

NIDA also hopes to show off its talent working behind the camera with award-winning set designers, lighting technicians and sound managers sharing their wisdom.

You can also see what it takes to be actor by taking part in a screen test, trying out an improv workshop and working in the costume or make-up departments.

Entry is free but advance registrations are required.
