PLANS for a new community hub have been revealed as part of a multimillion-dollar new neighbourhood.
The 3,718-sqm ‘Pagewood Place’ will feature cafes, shops, medical suites and a childcare centre to support the burgeoning population in Pagewood.
It is part of the S Pagewood development by Silkari in Page St.
The S Pagewood project, which features 37 townhouses and 219 apartments, is on track to be completed by the middle of next year.
The 219 units are spread across two seven-storey blocks which are clad in a gold facade.
The 37 three-storey town houses line the northern end of the development, providing privacy for the residents’ garden.
The planned community hub, which will be called Pagewood Place, will be located on the eastern boundary of the site – on the corner of Green Street and Holloway Street.
The building will be within the existing grounds of the development. A laneway, off Holloway Street, into the development will be built which will separate the commercial and residential buildings.
Paul Serra, from the developer Visionary, said it is vital infrastructure is in place to cater for new residents.
“Pagewood Place provides a good balance with convenience retail and cafes along with a
medical and childcare provision,” he said.
“We want Pagewood Place to become the new heart of the community, enjoyed not
just by local residents but those from surrounding suburbs, too.
“S Pagewood by Silkari is part of a growing area within Sydney’s southeast.
“We’ve seen the transformation in places like Coogee, and more recently Maroubra, Malabar
and Little Bay; those positive changes are absolutely coming to Pagewood.”
Seventy per cent of the apartments have already been sold and just 12 of the 37 townhouses remain.
Among those to have already bought include Golden Slipper winning jockey Brenton Avdulla, who purchased a four-bedroom terrace off the plan.
The townhouses range from $1.61 million to $1.87 million. One-bedroom
apartments range from $694,000 to $804,650; two-bedrooms from $886,000 to
$1.18 million; and three-bedrooms are between $1.28 million and $1.98 million.
