A RANDWICK retiree has said he is ready to hit the shops after winning $200,000 on the lottery.
The man, who has asked to remain anonymous, bought the winning ticket from Randwick Newsagency in Belmore Road.
“I’m a regular Lucky Lotteries player and I’ve only ever won small prizes in the past,” he said. “The most I’ve ever won is a couple of hundred dollars. This is something else.”
When asked what he would do with his $200,000, the happy winner didn’t hesitate.
“I’ll just spend it,” he said.
Randwick Newsagency team member Lawrence Wong said he was celebrating the outlet selling another ticket that landed one of its customers a major prize.
“It’s great. I’ve been telling everyone coming in this morning that we’ve had another win,” he said.
“We’ve got about 10 plaques on the wall so we’re no stranger to wins, but it’s always nice to have another one.”
