A man aged in his 20s has suffered a neck injury after falling about 4m from scaffolding onto concrete at a Randwick home.
Emergency services responded to the incident at a construction site on Coogee Bay Rd, near Carrington Rd, about 7.35am.
He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.
NSW Ambulance inspector Kathryn Mansfield said it was a timely reminder to take appropriate safety precautions when working at height.
“He was in a difficult to access location so Special Operations paramedics and NSW Police
Rescue utilised a rescue lifter to safely extricate him,” she said.
“Paramedics placed a neck collar and pelvic binder on him and administered pain relief.
“Given the length of the fall, the patient’s injuries could have been much worse.”
A SafeWork NSW spokesman said the incident was being investigated.
