Jesse Polock: Ex-Bondi Rescue star sentenced for coke supply

A once star of Bondi Rescue who is engaged to a top Sydney Instagram influencer has been found guilty of supplying drugs in the eastern suburbs.

A date has been set for a former Bondi Rescue star to fight a conviction for supplying a small amount of cocaine.

Jesse Polock, 31, from Maroubra, was caught by police with illegal drugs on December 7, 2019 at Waverley.

Polock, a former fan favourite on the reality television show, was charged with a string of drug charges following the bust including a serious count of supply a prohibited drug.

He pleaded not guilty to the supply charge which related to an amount of cocaine less than the indictable quantity (under 5g).

He was eventually found guilty and convicted of the supply charge during a hearing earlier this year, but swiftly appealed the conviction and sentence.

A date has now been set down in the NSW District Court for the appeal to be heard on July 13.

He was also sentenced for three counts of possess a prohibited drug in the Local Court in March, relating to the same bust in December 2019, but has not appealed those sentences.

A former Bondi Rescue star has been convicted for supplying cocaine but plans to fight the decision.

Jesse Polock, 31, from Maroubra, was caught by police in possession of illegal drugs on December 7, 2019 at Waverley and was charged with a string of offences.

A few months after the bust, it was revealed the fan favourite had quit television show Bondi Rescue and his lifeguard job at Bondi Beach.

Polock, who also featured in the hit documentary about Maroubra surf gang the Bra Boys in 2007, pleaded guilty to four counts of possess prohibited drug (including GBL and ketamine) but not guilty to a more serious charge of supply prohibited drug (cocaine).

During a hearing at Waverley Local Court this month he was found guilty of the supply charge, relating to an amount of cocaine less than the indictable quantity (under 5g).

He was convicted and sentenced to a community correction order with supervision for 12 months. He was also ordered to abstain from alcohol and drugs during that period and not to enter a licensed premises for six months.

Polock has appealed the conviction for drug supply and his appeal will be mentioned in the NSW District Court in April.

Polock was also convicted for three of the possess prohibited drug charges and fined $400. A further possess and supply charge were both dismissed.

Last year, Polock’s lawyer told The Sunday Telegraph his client left his job as a professional lifeguard “due to numerous suicides and difficult experiences he was ­exposed to in the role and the impact this had on him” rather than the charges.

Polock is the fiance of Instagram-model Tullie Zimmerman with whom he has a young child.
