A woman killed in a fatal crash between a car and truck in Mascot last week has been remembered as “a beautiful human”.
Janice Browne, 39, from Sydney’s south, was driving a Ford Mustang last Wednesday afternoon when her vehicle and a truck collided at the intersection of Coward St and Bourke St near Mascot train station.
She was the sole occupant inside the car and died at the scene despite the best efforts of paramedics.
Tributes have been paid to Ms Browne on Facebook with one friend remembering her as “a beautiful human”.
Another friend shared a heartfelt message and wrote “I am so sorry the world won’t see you shine anymore”.
Browne worked in human resources and payroll services for about 15 years including most recently with airline catering company Gate Gourmet, which has a base in Mascot.
Police inquiries are ongoing into the crash.
The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for mandatory tests following the crash.
