The Daybreaker morning yoga-dance experience is bringing the first ever dance party to the Centennial Parkland’s labyrinth.
Daybreaker Sydney’s Kristen Marconi said organisers had some magic planned for Sydney.
”We’re going for our largest yoga session yet, first bootcamp in an Australian Daybreaker and biggest dancefloor for Sydney,” she said.
“Imagine a multi-sensory party experience in Sydney’s first public stone labyrinth, one of the most intricate of its kind in the world. And it all begins right before sunrise.”
The three hour experience, designed to wake up all the senses, starts with an hour of yoga or boot camp session, followed by a collective meditation and it concludes with two hour, high energy dance party with Soul Of Sydney’s DJ Phil Toke and MC Mirrah.
There will also be special guests, live musical performances and theatrical elements all wrapped up in a rainbow-coloured bow in the form of a ‘Mardi Gras One Love’ theme.
Daybreaker began in New York in 2013 when social entrepreneurs Radha Agrawal and Matt Brimer launched the concept of dancing before the day broke as a stand against the city nightclub scene.
Today the global phenomenon is inspiring people in 28 cities around the world to start their day by waking up at sunrise to do yoga and dance.
