The home renovation business has announced June 30 will be the final trading day at the Mascot store, which is at the corner of Bourke Rd and Gardeners Rd.
The store is surrounded by fencing and works to upgrade the roads, which will lead to the WestConnex M5 tunnel at St Peters.
The 9km tunnel is being built between St Peters and Kingsgrove, and is due to open next year.
Bunnings NSW operations manager Robyn Hudson said: “The Mascot warehouse has suffered significant disruption since the WestConnex roadworks began, with customers finding it difficult to access and park at our store.
“With our Alexandria and Eastgardens warehouses located nearby, we have made the decision to redirect customers to these locations.”
All staff at Mascot will transfer to other stores.
Roads and Maritime Services acquired a strip of land at the corner of Bourke and Gardeners roads in 2017.
This included three parking spaces from the 240 available, according to an RMS spokesman.
He said the acquisition represented seven per cent of the Bunnings Mascot site.
“At all times, access has been maintained to and from the Bunnings Mascot store,” he said.
“Roads and Maritime makes every effort to minimise the impact our projects have on local businesses and residents.”
The Mascot store has been trading for 22 years.
Bunnings leases the site and has told the landlord it intends to leave.
A Bunnings spokeswoman said no decision had been made on the future of the site.
