Crash! Strong winds blowing across Sydney have uprooted two large trees at Rosebery.

Wind gusts of up to 69km/h have been recorded at Sydney Airport by 1pm, which along with rain have made for difficult conditions for anyone walking the streets of Sydney today.

At Rosebery, two trees which lined the driveway of a bearing supplies business were uprooted and crashed into the neighbouring Lever Street Reserve.

The trees were seemingly secured by the brickwork, but that proved no match for the forceful wind.

Workers removing the trees confirmed to the Courier they had fallen earlier today.

The Bureau of Meteorology had recorded 0.4mm of rain at the airport since 9am.
