A linen factory went up in flames on Friday morning at Botany.
Fire and Rescue NSW received a call about 5.10am today following reports of a fire on Margate St.
A Fire and Rescue NSW spokeswoman said 23 fire trucks and about 100 firefighters responded to the blaze at a linen factory.
The spokeswoman said firefighters could see large volumes of smoke as they approached the location.
Fortunately, no-one was injured in the fire and firefighters stopped the blaze from spreading to surrounding buildings.
“Twenty per cent of the roof was damaged and the contents of the premises suffered severe damage,” the spokeswoman said.
Firefighters extinguished the fire about 6.20am. Margate St was closed as well as a section of Salisbury St following the fire.
Fire investigators were on the scene investigating the cause of the fire.
