A man has appeared before court accused of a crime spree across the eastern suburbs with a baseball bat.

A man who allegedly led police on a car chase before going on a crime spree across the eastern suburbs with a baseball bat has been refused bail.
Aaron Walton, 30, from Towradgi near Wollongong, was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning near Bondi Beach.
Police said his arrest ended an alleged crime spree across Vaucluse and Bondi.
Officers alleged that late on Thursday night they attempted to pull him over after witnessing him allegedly driving the wrong way up a one-way street in a Ford Falcon in Double Bay.
Officers claim he stopped briefly but then drove off at speed.
There was a pursuit it is alleged but officers said they called it off a short time later for safety reasons.
He then allegedly broke into two homes in Vaucluse armed with a baseball bat.
Police claim he demanded the keys to a vehicle after breaking into a home on Wentworth Rd before allegedly taking off with a bottle of whiskey and some cash.
Walton then allegedly broke into another home on Coolong Rd and allegedly threatened residents with the bat before stealing cash and a black Land Rover.
Police and firefighters found the Land Rover on fire shortly after midnight at the intersection of Miller and Castlefield streets, Bondi.
While police were searching, they were alerted to reports a man had been sighted by residents in back yards at Bondi Beach.
Hotel security flagged police down after he allegedly broke into a licensed hotel on Beach Rd and stole a bottle of whisky.
Police spotted the man, who attempted to flee, but he was caught and arrested, police say.
He was taken to Waverley Police Station before being taken by ambulance to Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment.
He was released back into police custody on Saturday night.
His matter was mentioned at Parramatta Local Court on Sunday and bail was refused.
His matter will be mentioned again in January.
He has been charged with a long list of offences including police pursuit not stop (drive recklessly), two counts of aggravated break and enter, take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, damage property by fire, enter enclosed land without lawful excuse, and break, enter and steal.
