THE Year 12 students at Glenwood High School will have plenty of memories to take with them after an emotional graduation ceremony last Friday.
The six years they have spent at this well established school will serve them well in their future careers with principal Erla McMaster saying they can be proud of what they have achieved.
The farewell ceremony saw the 208 students releasing balloons and then enjoying a get together with the school community and their families before the sit for their HSC exams in October.
“Our Year 12 students have embraced the school’s value of respecting yourself and others, which has enhanced the culture of inclusivity among the whole student body,” Ms McMaster said.
“Today we celebrated the end of their 13 years of schooling while focusing on their amazing futures as informed, passionate global citizens.
“Congratulations Year 12, you deserve every accolade shared today.”
According to the Year 12 adviser Erin Cummings, wished the students all success in next month’s HSC exams, saying she “was privileged to be their year adviser”.
“You have proven to be an exemplar calibre of students, rising to academic success, which I have no doubt will be replicated in your upcoming HSC exams,’ Ms Cummings said.
“Congratulations on the compassion and friendliness that you have shown.
“You have never hesitated to assist one another when help was needed.
“And congratulations on growing into the type of young adults that your parents, the school, your peers and I can be proud of.”
