Three juveniles charged with credit card fraud after going on a $2500 spending spree

Police have charged three juveniles over a $2500 credit card fraud spree that started with thefts from cars in The Ponds last month.

Police said credit cards were stolen from a handbag and a wallet left in cars in Ripple Cres and Camomile St between 3.40pm on March 29 and 5.30am the following day. The cards were then used to take a taxi to McDonald’s at Kellyville then to Westfield Parramatta.

Police have charged three juveniles over a $2500 credit card fraud spree that started with thefts from cars in The Ponds last month. Police said credit cards were stolen from a handbag and a wallet left in cars in Ripple Cres and Camomile St between 3.40pm on March 29 and 5.30am the following day. The cards were then used to take a taxi to McDonald’s at Kellyville then to Westfield Parramatta. Quakers Hill police executed a search warrant at Homebush on Tuesday, April 18, recovering property and arresting three juveniles from Homebush, Canley Heights and Yagoona. They are expected to appear in Burwood children’s court.

KELLYVILLE

A Mazda 3 sedan had the front and rear off-side panels scratched while it was parked outside a home on Catalina Place, Kellyville, between 4pm on Thursday and 8am on Friday. The damage will cost the owner about $1000 to fix.

KELLYVILLE

A home which had received storm damage in Honeysuckle Place, Kellyville, was broken into between Wednesday, March 3, and Sunday, April 4, and a man’s watch worth $10,000 was stolen.

BAULKHAM HILLS

POLICE located the body of a man in a car parked at the Hills Medical Centre, Columbia Ct, Baulkham Hills. The body was located on Sunday at 2pm after a member of the public alerted police. It is now undergoing forensic examination. The body was found in a black Nissan X-Trail.

STANHOPE GARDENS

Thieves broke into a house in Tilbury Ave and stole a number of items, including car keys, before driving off in a 2008 grey Subaru Impreza. Police said the thieves entered through an unlocked door between 11pm on Thursday and 7am on Friday and took a camera, handbag and car keys. The occupants were asleep at the time.

GLENWOOD

A P-plater allegedly driving while suspended and without P-plates on his car has been charged with high-range drink driving. Police said a 22-year-old Bella Vista man in a black Cerato was stopped on Old Windsor Rd at 10.05pm on Sunday, April 16. He returned a reading of .158 at Riverstone police station. A man will appear in Blacktown local court on May 15.

KINGS LANGLEY

Registration plates were stolen from a car in James Cook Drive between 3pm and 3.30pm on Sunday, April 16. The plates were removed from an orange Mazda MX5 convertible. Police said four per cent of stolen plates were used in other offences, with the rest just disappearing.

BOX HILL

Police have charged an 18-year-old with drug supply after speaking to him in Box Hill. The teenager was a passenger in a car that police spotted at 1am on Saturday, April 15, on Windsor Rd because it did not have headlights on. Police allege that the 18-year-old got out of the car which is when they approached him. They allege a search located digital scales, a glass pipe and resealable bags containing 13 pink capsules in the teenager’s underpants. Police also allege $1000 cash was found. The Bligh Park man has been charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, goods in custody and resist arrest. He is due in Windsor Court on May 11.

KELLYVILLE

Tools worth a total of $10,000 were stolen from a Toyota Hiace panel van parked in Honeymyrtle Rd last week. Thieves smashed the front windscreen to gain access to the vehicle between 8pm on Saturday, April 16, and 12.30pm on Sunday, April 16.

KELLYVILLE

A wallet containing $1000 cash was stolen from a house in McManus St, Kellyville on Wednesday, April 19. According to police a man broke into the house just after 2am. The owner heard a noise and saw a figure in the house. The wallet was taken before the man left.

BOX HILL

Money was stolen from a property in Windsor Rd, Box Hill, last week. A front window was forced and cash was taken from a home office between 2.30pm on Monday, April 17, and 4.30pm on Tuesday, April 18.

ROUSE HILL

A mobile phone worth $1000 was stolen from a display at a store in Rouse Hill Town Centre at 1.50pm on Tuesday, April 18. According to a police report an iPad worth about $500 was stolen from another store at Rouse Hill Town Centre 45 minutes earlier.
