IT’S Patrick’s day on Friday, March 17, and The Fiddler is going all out to make their venues and entertainment as Irish as possible.
Starting with a sumptuous full Irish breakfast at 7pm, the Rouse Hill pub will feature music and food from the emerald isle with entertainment going well into the night.
The Fiddler’s own Irish dancer Julia Baar — who works in social media and administration — will be one of the main attractions, leading 20 dancers in regular Irish dance performances from midday.
Baar, who has been placed in the World Irish Dancing Championships, has also won the Australian Irish national dancing title on two occasions.
“I have Irish blood from both sides of the family and my mum liked the Irish culture so I started taking part in Irish dancing,” the 24-year-old Barr said.
“For St Patrick’s Day celebrations at The Fiddler, we will have Irish dancing from midday and in addition to me, there will be 20 dancers on show.
“There will be performances throughout the afternoon at regular intervals.
“I like Irish dancing because it’s quite technical and to succeed you have to be determined and work hard.”
Hannah Ferris, who handles promotions, marketing and events for The Fiddler said all events will be free and they are also catering to children.
“There will be entertainment for all ages while live Irish music will begin from 11am in the hotel,” Ferris said.
“There will be games, activities, best dressed adults and kids, lots of shenanigans and drink specials and Guinness at every bar.”
Children’s entertainment includes face painting.
Bookings are recommended though guests are welcome to just turn up.
