SNAPSYDNEY 2016 has been a cracking success for the Rouse Hill Times and the NewsLocal group thanks to our readers.
You submitted dozens of images from different sites with a variety of themes to complement the images our journalists took around our wonderful suburbs.
The day began for us with editor John Bilic striking a terrific pose at his local gym at the crack of dawn before Vanessa Bradbury snapped up early action at the first Blacktown Tennis International at Stanhope Garden’s new courts.
We also checked out one of the few railway level crossings left in NSW over at Riverstone.
Local resident Hanna Saba sent us images from the Schofields train station showing the quiet before the storm this morning.
The Cowper family at Rouse Hill were in the thick of action from early morning with Craig sending us pictures from his gym and Monique spotting her children climbing a tree. She also took a picture from one of the several housing development sites in north Kellyville.
Over at Rouse Hill Town Centre, we spotted two young buskers, Kia Lao and Feyja Hewitson, who were showcasing their musical talents after shutting their books following their HSC exams at Kellyville High School.
Versatile musician and owner of Maxx Music store Ben Finn took time off setting up his new Rouse Hill Musical School to jazz up the water fountains with his red Fender electric guitar attracting more than a passing glance from envious passers-by.
Carmen Stephens at RSCPA’s Care Centre at Rouse Hill Town Centre also sent us a picture of her and the adorable puppy Harold, who is looking for his forever home.
Education took the spotlight at the Nirimba Education Precinct in Quakers Hill where the four precinct leaders presented a brief overview of their sectors’ involvement in the area over a breakfast meeting.
Still in Quakers Hill and Greenway federal Labor MP Michelle Rowland was out praising the goods at local store, Maria’s Deli.
Glenwood High School’s students were also in the #SnapSydney mode, using their recess time to send us some delightful pictures.
