Nicola Teo serious crash case returns to court

Prosecutors will soon determine if they will push ahead with all charges against the daughter of brain surgeon Charlie Teo following a serious crash with a former bikie boss.

The high-profile crash case involving the daughter of acclaimed neurosurgeon Charlie Teo has returned to court as police prepare to lock in charges.

Nicola Annabel Teo, 24, was excused from appearing when her matter was briefly mentioned at Windsor Local Court today.

The Queens Park woman faces a string of charges relating to a serious crash involving ex-Comanchero bikie boss William George ‘Jock’ Ross, 76, in the Hawkesbury last September.

Police allege Ms Teo was driving a Toyota LandCruiser on Settlers Rd, Lower Macdonald, when she collided with Mr Ross on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

She is yet to enter pleas to a string of charges, including dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, not keeping left of the dividing line and failing to give particulars to police.

Police documents tendered to the court allege Ms Teo was driving on the wrong side of the road when the crash occurred on the afternoon of September 25.

Mr Ross was left in a critical condition from the crash, suffering lower leg and internal injuries, but has since recovered.

The court today heard the NSW Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions would prosecute the case and would be ready to confirm charges at the next court mention.

Defence lawyer Darren Emery said the police brief of evidence had been completed.

Court documents showed Ms Teo faces the “likelihood” of a jail sentence if she was convicted over the matter.

The matter was adjourned to April 3 at Penrith Local Court.
