Man, 44, faces credit card fraud charges worth $1.2 million

Police have charged a 44-year-old man from The Ponds after he allegedly made more than $1.2 million worth of fraudulent transactions on company credit cards.

A man from The Ponds has been charged over allegedly defrauding his employer of more than $1.2 million worth of credit card transactions.

Police allege the 44-year-old man, who had worked at a marketing company for the past decade, made 1474 personal transactions on company credit cards, totalling $1,242,766.

In May, Quakers Hill police began investigating the man and yesterday raided a home on Estuary Cres, The Ponds, about 6.45am.

He was taken to Riverstone Police Station where he was charged with 62 counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception and one count of dealing with the proceeds of crime.

He was granted conditional bail to face Blacktown Local Court on November 25.
