Teen suffers punctured lung in Westpoint Blacktown stabbing
A young man has been left with a punctured lung in hospital after being stabbed in the back at Westpoint Blacktown over night. Police are investigating.

A teen is in a stable condition in Westmead Hospital with a punctured lung after he was stabbed in the back at Westpoint Blacktown last night.
Police say the 18-year-old male was on level 4 of the Patrick St shopping centre when he was approached by four men at about 8.20pm.
An altercation broke out and the man was stabbed in the back.
The four men fled the scene before the arrival of emergency crews.
Blacktown police are investigating.
Westpoint centre manager, Agata Rynkiewicz said safety was a top priority at the shopping centre.
“The safety and wellbeing of our Westpoint community is always our overriding priority, as such we have a dedicated security team that patrols the centre 24 hours a day, seven days a week, alongside an extensive CCTV network, with these security measures further bolstered by our close work with local police,” Ms Rynkiewicz said.
