A $7.6 MILLION, three-phase plan to revitalise Beaumont Village shopping centre has been approved by The Hills Shire Council.

The major redevelopment, which will include an overhaul of the centre to provide a gym, 104-place childcare centre and an alfresco dining area, will start this year.

Trifalga Property Group chief executive Joe Abboud said plans to revitalise the precinct were made to provide the right amenities and create more open space.

“The design we’ve come up with is essentially based on feedback from the community,’’ he said.

The centre also has plans to include a childcare centre and gym.

“We will ensure the new centre fits the desires of the Beaumont Hills community in terms of the best tenant mix, inspirational design and style.”

He said the first phase of the redevelopment project would be an interior refurbishment, which would set the tone for the renovation and expansion to follow at the nine-year-old centre.

He said the plan would also include a dedicated soft-play children’s area and the work is expected to be completed by mid 2018.

The gym will begin in the second half of this year and will see extensions for the 104-place childcare centre and a Snap Fitness gym.

Trifalga have also revealed plans for an alfreso dining area.

Mr Abboud said the final phase of the project would include the expansion of retail and hospitality space, which will feature an outdoor dining precinct.

“These will be implemented based on the success of the on-site events being held over the next 12 months,” he said.

“These events are all designed to engage with the local area and encourage interaction with our centre. There are few activities created specifically for the area of Beaumont Hills so we really have a unique offering.”

Mr Abboud said the developers aimed for markets and other activities to “position Beaumont Village as a social magnet and community hub, which is aligned with our vision for the centre”.
