When did you move to this suburb?

Nearly seven years ago. We moved because we wanted to build a house and The Ponds is a nice family area. The long drive to the SCG took a toll but you do what you have to do when you’re getting paid for it.

What do you like most about living there?

The whole area is full of really good people. There’s a lot of families and wide open spaces where I can take the kids to have fun.

What do you enjoy doing on the weekend?

There’s golf courses, parks, lots of active areas. There’s endless opportunities to find something to do here.

Are you involved in cricket in The Ponds?

I do a little bit of coaching here and there but it’s good to take a break from cricket and I’m really enjoying that at the moment.

What is your favourite cafe/restaurant/bar?

I like the Ettamogah Hotel because I can walk there.

Do you have a favourite park or outdoor space?

I like the Peel Reserve, where they have The Ponds Little Athletics. It’s got a nice playground and it’s a great outdoor space.

What do you wish you could change about your suburb?

I’d get rid of the trees on my nature strip!
