This follows an announcement at the site today where the Liberals also announced they will focus on attracting agribusiness to the Western Sydney Aerotropolis.

The authority will be tasked with planning and leading the development of the Western Sydney Aerotropolis.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian also announced today that a new agribusiness precinct will contribute 2500 direct jobs and support up to 12,000 more, on top of the 200,000 jobs already been announced through MOU’s (Memorandums of Understanding).

“Western Sydney Airport and the precincts we are delivering around the airport will create tens of thousands of jobs over the next decade and support employment across NSW,” Ms Berejiklian said.

“Our plans will continue to create more jobs for people across the state and I’m particularly excited about the jobs and opportunities that the airport will create for families and future generations in western Sydney.”

Penrith state Liberal MP Stuart Ayres welcomed the latest announcements regarding the airport and said the biggest benefactors are Penrith and western Sydney families.

“The airport is a game changer for western Sydney and for NSW,” Mr Ayres said.

“If you are a young family living in western Sydney, the employment opportunities being created through initiatives like the agribusiness precinct are incredibly exciting.”

Penrith Valley Chamber of Commerce president Simon Gould said last week having the authority based locally would bring huge economic benefits.
