St Clair: Jack Maddock, 20, faces court on assault charges

One of two men who allegedly left a man with a partially separated ear and an eye injury during an assault in St Clair last month has faced court.
Police allege Jack Maddock, 20, of St Clair, and another man, 44, assaulted the three alleged victims on Banks Dr near Mamre Rd at about 8.30pm on February 9.
Maddock and the older man allegedly approached the three victims before they began assaulting them.
Police also allege the parties were not known to each other.
The victims were treated at the scene, and a 23-year-old man was taken to Nepean Hospital for treatment of a partially separated ear and an eye injury.
Two other men were treated for bruising and swelling but did not require hospitalisation.
Police said they arrested Maddock and his alleged accomplice at about 12.30pm the next day.
Maddock was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, and affray, while the older man was charged with reckless wounding, common assault, and affray.
Maddock appeared in Penrith Callover Court on March 3 where he did not enter a plea to his charges.
He will next appear before Penrith Local Court on March 16.
The older man will appear before Penrith Local Court on March 9.
