The man charged with the horrific murder of mother-of-two Dayna Isaac has been heard in court for the first time with his solicitor urging members of the public to “keep an open mind”.

The man charged with the alleged murder of mother-of-two Dayna Isaac has appeared in court for the first time with his solicitor urging members of the public to “keep an open mind”.
Dayna Isaac, 28, was allegedly left bloodied and suffering a serious head injury on the floor of her Penrith home after allegedly being murdered by her drunk boyfriend Paul Jason Sultana, 32, on Monday afternoon.
Sultana, who is from Cranebrook, did not apply for bail on Wednesday at Penrith Local Court after spending the night in custody.
He chose not to appear via video link, with his solicitor Mr Parham Mohammadian asking for his client to be excused.
In addressing the media outside the court, Mr Mohammadian urged members of the public to “keep an open mind.”
“We just want to urge everyone to keep an open mind before the actual facts come out, ” he said, before declining to comment further.
The grieving father of Ms Isaac, Garry English was present for Wednesday’s court proceedings and indicated he did not wish to speak to the media.
The court heard a brief of evidence will be served by the Department of Public Prosecutions when the case returns to Penrith Local Court on March 17.
Ms Isaac‘s ex-husband, Mikkel Isaac, who is currently on remand, is also listed to appear at Penrith local court on Friday, facing 30 charges relating to commercial drug supply.
He is alleged by police to be ‘a principal person of interest’ in an alleged large-scale cocaine ring operating across western Sydney and Bathurst throughout 2020 and 2021.
It is not suggested Mikkel Isaac had any involvement with Dayna Isaac‘s death.
