A second man has been charged over an alleged break-in the night before aspiring rapper Mak Muon was stabbed to death in an Emu Plains reserve.
Thomas David Matycz, 27, of Shalvey, was arrested at his Piccolo Way home on January 29 and charged with aggravated break and enter and commit a serious indictable offence.
According to court documents, police will allege Mr Matycz broke into a home on Lauder St, Doonside, just before 3.30am on September 24 last year while armed with a pistol with intent to steal property.
They will allege Mr Matycz was with the deceased Mak Muon and Gregory Ambler during the alleged break-in.
Mak Muon was found dead with a knife protruding from his body in an Emu Plains reserve later that morning.
Mr Ambler is currently before the courts charged with concealing an indictable offence, hindering a murder investigation, and aggravated break and enter.
Mr Matycz originally appeared in Parramatta Local Court on January 30 where he was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Friday.
Neither Mr Matycz nor Mr Ambler are charged with stabbing Mr Muon.
During his brief court appearance, the prosecution confirmed with Magistrate Brian van Zuylen that a brief of evidence was still not ready in Mr Matycz’s matter.
Magistrate van Zuylen adjourned the matter to April 16 at Penrith Local Court and continued Mr Matycz’s bail.
