A man serving a 12-year jail sentence for raping a girl while she was under the age of 16 has been sentenced for groping another victim.
And now, the Penrith Press can reveal some of the sick, pedophilic material that was found on his computer during a police investigation.
Kenneth Ryan Echols, 33, of Claremont Meadows, was sentenced on four counts of aggravated sexual intercourse with a person between 14 and 16 in October last year.
He was given a 12-year jail sentence with a non-parole period of eight years and six months.
Echols again faced Penrith District Court on September 9 on a further charge of indecent assault against a person under the age of 16.
He had pleaded not guilty to the charge, but was found guilty by Judge Mark Buscombe.
The court heard Echols had groped the young victim’s breast over her sports bra while she was under the age of 14.
There were also 27 videos found on his computer, including two involving girls under the age of 14.
The other 25 videos involved girls under the age of 16.
Of the videos, 25 would be under Category 2 of the Australian Federal Police’s ANVIL Categorisation of Child Exploitation Material, one would be Category 3, and one would be Category 4.
Echols was sentenced to a three-year community corrections order for the charge of indecent assault, which the court heard occurred before the charges of aggravated sexual intercourse.
The second victim made a complaint to police while Echols was facing the first set of charges.
Echols will first be eligible for parole in July, 2026.
