Kemps Creek: One dead, one injured in two-vehicle crash

One person is dead and another has suspected spinal injuries after a two-vehicle smash in Kemps Creek.

Police said emergency services were called to Mamre Rd at about 11.20am to reports a car and truck had collided.

The driver of the car died on the scene – they are yet to be formally identified.

The truck driver, a 58-year-old man, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics on scene for suspected spinal injuries.

He was taken to Nepean Hospital, where he’ll also undergo mandatory testing.

Mamre Rd is currently closed in both directions, with detours in place on Bakers Ln, Aldington Rd, and Abbotts Rd.

Police are encouraging motorists to avoid the area.
