Coronavirus, St Marys Rugby League Club: New drive-through clinic in western Sydney
A new new drive-through COVID-19 collection facility has opened at in a western Sydney rugby league club carpark to help stop a second wave of coronavirus.

If you’ve been feeling under the weather since the start of winter, and want to make sure it’s not COVID-19, that task is now easier in western Sydney.
Laverty Pathology has opened a drive-through COVID-19 collection facility at the St Marys Rugby League Club which will open from 8.30am to 4pm on weekdays.
“We are committed to providing residents in Greater Western Sydney with the safest and most convenient method to test for COVID-19,” Laverty general manager Matthew Brumby said.
“We continue to open drive-through clinics like this to make it easier for more people to be tested as lockdown restrictions are eased and business and community activity begins to return.
“Anyone can come to the drive-through for collection of a swab specimen for COVID-19 testing.
“These drive-throughs are by far the easiest, safest, and most convenient way for anyone to be tested for COVID-19, and we have been encouraged by the public’s response to them.”
Anyone wishing to use the drive-through service will need to arrive in a vehicle and have their pathology request form from their doctor, their Medicare card, and a form of ID.
You must remain in your vehicle at all times while a collector in full protective equipment will perform the test.
Test results are generally provided to the referring doctor within 24-48 hours of the sample reaching the laboratory.
You may elect to have negative results sent to you via SMS – any patient with a positive result will be contacted by their GP.
Laverty Pathology is operating drive-through clinics throughout NSW that are part of a network of facilities being rolled out across the country.
