A man charged with shooting with intent to murder in relation to last week’s Blackheath double shooting will remain in police custody.

Jeremy Carroll, 25, did not apply for bail in Penrith Local Court this afternoon, and it was formally refused by Magistrate Geoffrey Hiatt.

His lawyer indicated she would apply for release sometime in the New Year, and the matter was adjourned to March 9 in Katoomba Local Court.

Carroll is the third man charged over the Blackheath incident after Jaiden Hooper, 23, and Mitchell Tyler Honey, 21, faced Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.

Honey was charged with two counts of shooting with intent to murder, two counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and one count of possessing an unregistered shortened shotgun.

Hooper was charged with two counts of shooting with intent to murder, two counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and one count of possessing an unregistered single action lever shotgun.

Neither Hooper nor Honey applied for bail, and they are also scheduled to next appear at Katoomba Local Court on March 9.

According to court documents, police will allege the three men attempted to murder Luke Bennett-Hayes and Blake Cubby on December 13.

Paramedics arrived at the scene on Connaught Rd at about 4.30am to find the two men bleeding profusely from gunshot wounds.

One of the victims suffered a gunshot wound to the torso and the other suffered a gunshot wound to the back.

The two injured men were taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
