The six story health facility was recently granted approval by the Western Sydney Planning Panel.
The $26 million facility will be located at 84 to 88 Parker St, Kingswood, adjacent the Nepean Public and Private Hospitals.
Cornerstone Building Developments are the company behind the project and Director Simon Heazlewood said one of the main objectives is to fill the gap in medical services in the Nepean region.
“According to the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District, there are a number of undersupplied services in the area and this development will offer a multi-modal integrated medical office building to address this need in the region,” Mr Heazlewood said.
“The Nepean Health Hub is a one-stop health destination and is designed to deliver everything from general practice, specialists, allied health, mental health, diagnostic imaging, dental, pharmacy, research and skin clinics.”
The hub will offer six levels of space in which practitioners and service providers can lease spaces of up to 1250m².
There will also be three levels of basement carparking, which will accommodate over 180 cars.
Mr Heazlewood said from the beginning the main focus has always been the patients.
“We know the best outcome for a patient is when the various practitioners work in partnership to align their decisions with the needs and preferences of the patient.
“We believe this is great news for the region and look forward to delivering a state-of-the-art facility, bringing together those at the forefront of modern health delivery to fulfil our vision of achieving exceptional health and wellbeing for all communities.”
Construction will begin on the facility in the coming months, with the developers still finalising the completion date.
