Cambridge Park

Extortion has cost a Cambridge Park man a trip to the courthouse. Between May 5 and May 6 a 23 year old man went to a home in Cambridge Park and demanded money from a 24 year old male. After he refused, the 23 year old continued to threaten the man. He then sent pictures of the house of one of the victim’s family members and sent threats via social media. The police were contacted and at 1am on May 6 detectives arrested the 23 year old man at an address in Cambridge Park. He was charged with demand money with menace and intimidation. He was refused bail.

Kingswood

A man has blown almost four times over the legal limit. At 10.40am on May 4 police saw a vehicle swerving across the road along Victoria St. Officers stopped the car and conducted a random breath test on the 35 year old Kingswood driver and he returned a reading of 0.175. The driver had his license suspended on the spot and was charged with high range PCA. He will face Penrith Local Court on May 28.

Glenmore Park

Three masked men driving a Mercedes attempted to break into a house in Glenmore Park. At 1.40am on April 30 three men wearing black hoodies, black hats and black balaclavas were seen driving around Highdale Tce. A short time later they were seen inside the garage of a home, but were disturbed by the owners before anything was taken. Police later discovered that the number plates on the black Mercedes were stolen. An investigation is underway and police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident.

Penrith

The front windows of Family Planning NSW building were smashed last weekend. Between 5pm last Saturday and 9am on Sunday, an unknown offender smashed the windows of the Reserve St building and it was discovered on Monday morning. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information.

Penrith

The problem of fake notes has resurfaced across Nepean Local Area Command. At 1.50pm on Monday, May 6, a fake $50 was presented at Best and Less in Penrith Plaza. CCTV footage from the business was attained by police and the matter remains under investigation. Police are urging all businesses to be vigilant around fake currency.
