A man has been charged after he allegedly assaulted a security guard and two employees at a western Sydney supermarket.

A man has been charged after he allegedly spat at and punched a security guard and two employees at Woolworths in Stockland Merrylands yesterday.
The 27-year-old man was shopping at the supermarket about 3pm when he allegedly became verbally abusive towards customers.
He also alleged pushed a staff member after he was asked to stop his behaviour.
When store security asked the man to leave, he allegedly spat at the security officer before punching him to the face and knocking him to the ground.
The man ran from the supermarket and was chased by other staff members who arrested him after a short struggle.
The man was taken to Granville police station and charged with two counts of assault and one count of reckless grievous harm.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Fairfield Court on Saturday June 27.
The security officer was taken to Westmead Hospital where he underwent surgery for a serious lip injury.
The two employees were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
