Police are on the hunt for up to 16 alleged gatecrashers who unleashed chaos inside a house party in western Sydney. One alleged intruder is accused of glassing a teenage girl across the head.

Police are on the hunt for up to 16 alleged gatecrashers who are accused of unleashing chaos inside a house party in western Sydney.

Emergency services were called to an apartment at The Crescent, Wentworth Point about 4.20am on Sunday following reports of a brawl.

Auburn and Burwood police arrived and were told a group of about 25 people were having a party before a group of about 16 armed males and females entered the unit wearing face coverings.

When inside, the offenders allegedly damaged property. One of the alleged intruders is accused of striking an 18-year-old woman across the head with a glass bottle.

Police have released CCTV footage of a number of people who could help the investigation.
