Greystanes woman Tianne Miller is accused of engaging in sexually-explicit conversations with a person she believed was 14 years old online, police allege.

Police allege that Miller believed she was speaking with the teenager and engaged in conversations about sexually-explicit acts she wished to perform on the child when detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crime Squad’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit began engaging online with the woman in July.

After investigations into alleged online grooming, Strike Force Trawler detectives swooped on a Greystanes home where they seized electronic devices and arrested Miller.

She was taken to Granville police station and charged with using a carriage service to groom a person under 16 years for sex and using a carriage service to send indecent material to a person.

She appeared at Fairfield Bail Court on August 15, where she was granted strict conditional bail to reappear at Parramatta Local Court on October 15.

Court documents allege Miller carried out the offences between July 21 and August 14.

At court on Thursday, Miller’s bail was continued and was adjourned to November 27.

Strike Force Trawler investigates the sexual abuse and exploitation of children via the internet and related telecommunications devices.
