The Great Australasian Beer Spectacular arrives in Sydney this weekend
If you love craft beer, this is the festival for you.
- The inspiring St Clair chef opening his own cafe
- Is this western Sydney’s best Sri Lankan restaurant?
A festival celebrating all things beer will take over Sydney Olympic Park this weekend.
The Great Australasian Beer Spectacular will bring a collection of one-off “festival beers” created by brewers around the country when it arrives at Sydney Showground on Saturday.
Joining the more than 170 special beers and ciders will be the The Australian Brewery‘s special hybrid New England style wheat beer called Loco En El Coco.
The Rouse Hill brewery’s creation has flavours of chai, coconut and banana and will be available from one of three Husky Container Bars, lined with 60 taps on each side.
Along with plenty of beers and ciders to try, the festival also has a huge variety of activities from a ferris wheel, to arcade games, mini golf, hay bale bowling, scavenger hunts, a beer-style pinata, rib-eating competitions, a silent disco, cheese bar, live music and DJs, table tennis and giant jenga.
