The moment artist Natasha Junmanee’s work went pear-shaped made her more than happy.
Her vibrant still-life painting, Luscious Pears, was beamed across living rooms in Australia when the The Block aired on September 22.
Contestants Mitch and Mark selected the Parramatta resident’s artwork to adorn their butler pantry room.
The painting caught their attention after viewing it on Art Level Australia, a website that sponsors The Block and where the former Meadowbank TAFE student sells her work.
After discovering the painting had been selected, Ms Junmanee quickly organised a flight to Melbourne with her husband the next day to deliver the piece.
The episode has already had a good impact on the career of the full time artist, who only embarked on painting four years ago after working in retail.
“I got more exposure and more followers on Instagram and am getting more sales from being on the show,’’ she said.
