The man who launched a violent Islamophobic attack on a heavily pregnant woman at a Parramatta dessert cafe has stormed off during a bizarre court appearance, saying “f*** the system”.

The man who has pleaded guilty to bashing heavily pregnant woman Rana Elasmar while she enjoyed a nightcap with friends at Bay Vista Parramatta has stormed out of a bizarre court appearance, shouting “f*** the system”.
Stipe Lozina appeared via visual link at Parramatta District Court on Friday when a date for sentencing was due to be set following his unprovoked Islamophobic attack at the Church St cafe on November 20.
The Casula man stomped on the 31-year-old’s head and punched her upper body, knocking her off her chair, when she was 38 weeks’ pregnant.
Today, an agitated Lozina, who had no legal representation, told Judge Siobhan Herbert Justice Health authorities increased his medication before stating that he was told by the department “you’re schizophrenic and you can’t have children’’.
He then stormed off before an adjournment date was set, saying “f*** the system.’’
“I guess the matter’s adjourned,’’ Justice Herbert said.
She ordered the Crown to serve documents and for a NSW Justice Health report to be delivered to determine the urgency of Lozina’s sentence.
“He would be helped by having a lawyer involved but that’s Mr Lozina’s choice,’’ she told the court.
The matter returns to the court on July 14, eight months after the brutal assault which was captured on CCTV.
Footage shows Lozina leaning over the table and punching the primary school teacher before she fell to the ground. Lozina then stomped on her head before diners restrained him.
Three weeks after the attack, Ms Elasmar gave birth to a healthy boy, Zayn.
She shared the news about her fourth child on Facebook.
“I know this will bring a sense of comfort to you all, knowing that through this difficult time, an innocent baby has not been harmed,’’ she said.
“He is such a blessing and I will enjoy this special time at home with him while I continue to recover.’’
