Snappy tribute to Parramatta River pooches

Calling all photogenic pooches; photographer Pierre Mardaga is looking for pet owners to share their dogs for a book based on four-legged friends living along the Parramatta River.

Mr Mardaga aims to fill the book with dogs from suburbs on the river from Five Dock to Parramatta for his collection Parramatta River Dogs.

“The river is a spectacular backdrop for the photos,” he said.

“The area around Parramatta is known to be changing quite rapidly, so it’s been worthwhile capturing the established older parts and the new.”

The Balmain photographer has created books on dogs in his own suburb along with Glebe, Annandale and Marrickville.

Dog owners can register until July 1. Production is set for August.
