One of three men charged after a brawl at Rosehill Gardens in December plans to request CCTV footage of the incident.
Brandon Thomas Locke-Walker, 22, and co-accused Bailey Petrie, 19, and Matthew Samuel Becker, 32, appeared at Parramatta Local Court today.
Becker and Petrie had already pleaded guilty over affray charges after fight that erupted between 30 people outside the racecourse on December 7.
Locke-Walker has not entered a plea.
Footage of the brawl went viral online after Hayley Luke, who was wielding a bunch of roses to whack the warring parties, reportedly did so to defend her father, Stephen, who was also charged with affray after the incident.
Hayley has not been charged but Beau Hollitt, Ryan Connell and Nathan Luke have been ordered to front Parramatta Local Court next month on affray charges.
At court today, Locke-Walker from Wyee in the Lake Macquarie region, asked Magistrate Kevin Hockey how to obtain CCTV footage of the incident.
Magistrate Hockey advised him to speak to his solicitor who could contact the racecourse, before adjourning the matter for him and his Central Coast co-accused, Petrie and Becker, to February 4.
Outside court, Locke-Walker claimed the footage would show “we didn’t start the fight”.
“I’ve copped abuse,’’ he said.
“I’ve been made out I’m inflicting the pain when they started the fight.’’
