Police officer Alison Adam charged with forging document at Parramatta

A female cop has been charged with multiple offences that accuse her of forging documents and concealing a serious indictable offence.

A policewoman who allegedly forged documents and is accused of concealing an offence for another person at Parramatta will be subject to a court hearing.

Alison Catherine Adam, 49, has faced four charges after incidents in September 2013.

During September and October that year, she was accused of being an accessory after the fact after allegedly creating false documents: a “special services group request for assistance’’ form, a form that requested surveillance, a document for intercepting telecommunications and another for “client costings’’ to a police officer.

During that period, she is also accused of being an accessory after the fact again. Police allege that she knew a man gave a false document to police called the “NSW Police Force telecommunications interception branch request for assistance” form.

Police allege that he intended to influence police to approve the payment for services and that Ms Adam assisted him.

Court papers, which lists Ms Adam’s address as the NSW Police Headquarters at Parramatta, allege that Ms Adam failed “without reasonable excuse” to bring the information of the man to police attention.

Ms Adam was charged with two counts of making a false document to influence the exercise of public duty and two counts of concealing a serious indictable offence of another person.

The matter was listed for a hearing Parramatta Local Court on Monday when Ms Adam was excused from not attending.

The court heard eight witnesses would be called at the next hearing, which was adjourned to December 14.
