The search has begun for the next best musicians, dancers and performers.

Registrations for the City of Parramatta’s talent competition Parravision has opened and the prize includes the opportunity to perform on stage in front of thousands.

The competition includes three categories: traditional and contemporary performance, vocal performance, and the overall Parramatta Prize.

Sara Petrovski has had a successful year since winning the Parramatta Prize.

Sara Petrovski was chosen by singer Kate Ceberano as the winner of the Parramatta Prize earlier this year and performed with her at Parramatta’s 2018 Australia Day celebrations.

Petrovski, of Peakhurst, said her Parravision experience was “fantastic”.

“I’m still so shocked that I won Parravision amongst much older kids that were amazing singers and it actually really encouraged me to keep going and perform at every chance I get,” she said.

The singer, dancer, pianist and acrobat decided to enter Parravision to improve as an artist and performer.

“I wanted to enter it because the prizes seemed amazing and when I found out Kate Ceberano was judging my eyes lit up,” she said.

Since winning Parravision, the 11-year-old has been named a feature artist for this year’s Schools Spectacular and has joined the children’s ensemble chorus for Evita The Musical at the Sydney Opera House.

She will also release an original song called Fighter in the coming weeks.

Registrations for Parravision close on October 26 and auditions will be held at the Foundation Day Festival on Sunday, November 4.

The grand final will be held at the Australia Day celebrations in 2019 in front of an expected crowd of 80,000.
