THE humble cheeseburger no longer cuts the mustard — street food connoisseurs are demanding only the best when it comes to their burger fillings and, with a new opening in Centenary Square, they don’t need to travel far to get it.
Hailed as one of Sydney’s best, BL Burgers burst on to the Church St scene last month and if the lines around the block are anything to go by, punters are taking to the chain with gusto.
“It is the little things that we do differently,” store manager Aleks Lemais said.
“Our cheese curds are imported from Canada, so is our maple syrup. We make sure its all authentic and I think that makes us stand out.”
Though it may be following the successful formula at their Bondi and Darlinghurst
venues, there’s a touch of local spirit.
“Walk into the store and the first thing you notice is the mural wall,” Mr Lemais said. “We’ve incorporated the Parramatta Eels and Western Sydney Wanderers through the artwork.”
